Westside Table is a growing and diverse second campus of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church located in Atlanta’s Upper Westside (www.westsidetable.org).  No matter who you are or where you come from, you are welcome at our table. We are seeking a Communications Intern to play an active role in communicating our church’s brand in a positive and authentic way that helps us build relationships and partner with the people of Atlanta’s Upper Westside. 

Job Description 

The Communications Intern will gain experience in managing digital communications across multiple platforms and have opportunities for leadership development as part of an entrepreneurial and innovative church in Northwest Atlanta. This fall internship is a 12-hour per week, hybrid role with the opportunity to work remotely while also participating in the life of Westside Table, including Sunday morning worship.  The internship is targeted to begin on August 15, 2023 and end November 30, 2023 

The Communications Intern will report to the Creative Communications Coordinator and assist Westside Table in effectively communicating our mission and vision by participating in our church’s marketing plan and strategy, fostering fruitful social media interactions over a variety of platforms, creating graphic design and content, analyzing metrics and evaluating effectiveness.

Education and Experience

We are seeking a college student or recent graduate for this position who is passionate about marketing and communication and who has a background in marketing, communications or other related discipline.  The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and enthusiastic about learning and contributing to the church’s communication efforts. Experience with social media and web-based communication is preferred.
