I’ll admit it: I’m a coffee snob. I almost always have a coffee cup in hand, and if you’re looking for me, your best bet is to check out one of the many coffee shops in Atlanta’s Upper Westside.
Just last week, two different people told me, “You really love your coffee, don’t you?”
No lies told.
That’s why a couple of years ago, someone asked me, “What’s one topic you could talk about for 15 minutes with zero prep?” Instantly, I knew the answer: the best coffee shops in Atlanta’s Upper Westside.
So, here they are—my top five favorites, in no particular order.
- Bellwood Coffee (Riverside)
Bellwood Coffee is more than just great coffee—it’s a true neighborhood hub. Located in Riverside, this shop roasts its own beans and offers a wide selection of drinks and food. As someone who lives nearby, I can confidently say that if you settle in at Bellwood to get some work done, you’re likely to bump into someone you know. That’s the beauty of a local favorite.
- Henri’s Bakery & Café (Upper Westside)
If you love pairing your coffee with delicious baked goods, Henri’s is the spot. An Atlanta institution, the Upper Westside location of Henri’s Bakery is one of my go-to places for casual coffee meetings with church members, community leaders, or anyone who texts, “Got time for coffee?” Spoiler: I always say yes. Bonus tip—it’s also a great lunch spot. You really can’t go wrong here.
- Spiller Park Coffee (Moore’s Mill)
Spiller Park brings baseball vibes and seriously good coffee. Their Upper Westside location near Moore’s Mill Publix is perfect for a relaxed cup or a quick grab-and-go. Whether you’re winding down or gearing up, Spiller hits the spot.
- Brash Coffee (Westside Provisions & The Works)
Brash Coffee has a loyal following across Atlanta, and luckily for us, there are two locations in the Upper Westside: one at Westside Provisions District and another at The Works. Brash is known for its expertly crafted coffee—whether you’re into americanos or pourovers, this place delivers every time.
- Bolivar Coffee (Vinings)
Okay, so technically Bolivar Coffee is just across the county line in Vinings—but it’s too good to leave off the list. Bolivar offers rich, flavorful coffee and a welcoming team that’s happy to guide you through their menu. It’s always worth the short drive.
Whether you’re a long-time local or just exploring Atlanta’s Upper Westside, these five coffee shops are sure to satisfy your caffeine cravings. Who knows—maybe I’ll see you there, cup in hand.
